Located steps away from the Pacific Ocean and Santa Barbara?s East Beach, the Hotel Mar Monte has been a preferred destination for nearly a century. This historic hotel originally opened its doors on June 11, 1931. The warm and inviting Spanish Colonial architecture provides a welcome entrance to the Santa Barbara waterfront area. Hotel amenities include outdoor heated pool & spa, Spa Services Center, Fitness Center with Personal Training services available, Bistro Eleven Eleven Restaurant & Lounge, Mar Monte Marketplace gift & snack shop, 10,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space. The Hotel Mar Monte has 173 comfortably appointed guest rooms, most with views of the Pacific Ocean or the majestic Santa Ynez mountains. All rooms feature Serta Five Star Perfect Sleeper mattresses with cozy down comforters and duvet, plush robes for use during your stay, refrigerator, microwave, in-room coffee, hair dryers, iron and board, color television with HBO and pay per view movies, and FREE wireless high speed internet access. Gated self-parking is FREE for registered hotel guests. The Hotel Mar Monte is 100% smoke free facility. Smoking is not permitted on hotel property, and is not permitted on guest room balconies. We offer a limited number of rooms to guests with dogs. For convenience, these rooms are all located in our Santa Rosa building, which is across the street from a park. These guest rooms are in the STANDARD room category. Dogs are not permitted in our Ocean View or Deluxe rooms. If the standard room category is unavailable at time of booking, we regret we would be unable to accept a reservation including a dog. Dogs must be crated when left in the guest room without the presence of their "human" caretakers. For liability reasons, we are unable to allow the following breeds: Akita, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Pit Bulls and Pit Mix, Doberman Pinscher. We always permit and allow therapy dogs, and those dogs used in Law Enforcement. $75 Non-refundable Pet Fee to be used for deep cleaning of room. We DO NOT allow cats or any other domestic pet.

Take 217 toward Santa Barbara to 101 south. Exit Milpas St. Go right at bottom of exit to Cabrillo Blvd. Go left about 1.5 blocks. The hotel appears on the left side of the street across from the ocean.
Take Hwy 101 north and exit Cabrillo Blvd. -left exit-. At bottom of exit turn left. Proceed along Cabrillo Blvd past the bird refuge. The first stoplight is Ninos St. The hotel is at the corner of Ninos and Cabrillo Blvd.
